Merchandising, at its core, is about appealing to
the
psychology of the buyer. Choosing a home is an
emotional decision. In prepping homes to sell, we
evaluate a home's appeal and condition and make need
changes to ensure it becomes a property that people
will want to buy. We do this by removing potential
condition-related obstacles to its sale and infusing
into the home some universal qualities common to
sought-after homes. We aim to create homes that are
open, airy, clean, spacious, warm, inviting,
uncluttered, appealing, and "lovely." This service
can make it easy for buyers to imagine themselves in
the home, will clearly demonstrate the home's
architecture and layout, and cause the home to stand
out amongst its competition because of its warmth
and appeal.

Prepared homes sell faster and for more money than
competing homes. Nationally, in slow markets,
prepared homes are likely to sell faster than other
homes, and in a hot market, it is not uncommon for
professionally prepared homes to sell over asking

Real estate merchandising consultation represents a
minimal investment. (Our package of initial
consultation with hands-on staging is $225.) Even
larger merchandising jobs we do are budget-minded
and bottom-line oriented, intended to help the
homeseller realize the most money at resale. Small
changes, like updating fixtures or renting props
have been shown to make a huge difference in
"ordinary" homes as well as in luxury properties.
